Delete Your Wageasy Account

This page provides instructions for permanently deleting your Wageasy account and all associated data. Please read this information carefully before proceeding.

Account Deletion Methods

For OAuth Users (Google, Microsoft, Apple Sign-In)

If you signed up using OAuth authentication, you can delete your account using any of these methods:

Method 1: Self-Service Deletion

  1. Sign in to your Wageasy account
  2. Navigate to Settings > Account Settings
  3. Scroll to the Account Management section
  4. Click Delete Account
  5. Confirm your deletion request
  6. You’ll receive a confirmation email within 24 hours

Method 2: Email Request

Send an email to privacy@wageasy.com with the following information:

  • Subject: Account Deletion Request
  • Account Email: The email address associated with your Wageasy account
  • OAuth Provider: Which service you used to sign up (Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc.)
  • Reason for Deletion: (Optional but helpful for our improvement)

Method 3: Revoke OAuth Access

You can also revoke Wageasy’s access through your OAuth provider’s security settings:

Note: Revoking OAuth access will prevent you from logging in, but you should still request full account deletion to ensure all data is removed.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your Wageasy account, the following data will be permanently removed:

Immediately Deleted (within 24 hours)

  • OAuth authentication tokens and login credentials
  • Account profile information and preferences
  • App settings and customizations
  • Active sessions across all devices

Deleted within 30 days

  • All invoice data and templates
  • Client contact information and payment details
  • Financial reports and business analytics
  • Transaction history and payment records
  • AI-generated insights and recommendations
  • Exported reports and documents

Some information may be retained for legal requirements:

  • Tax-related records (as required by law)
  • Fraud prevention data (anonymized)
  • Legal compliance records (court orders, etc.)

Before You Delete

Export Your Data

Before deleting your account, we recommend exporting important information:

  1. Invoice Data: Download all invoices and templates
  2. Client Information: Export client contact details
  3. Financial Reports: Save business analytics and insights
  4. Payment History: Download transaction records

Alternative Options

Consider these alternatives before permanent deletion:

  • Account Deactivation: Temporarily disable your account
  • Data Export Only: Keep your account but download your data
  • Contact Support: Discuss concerns with our team at support@wageasy.com

After Deletion

Once your account is deleted:

  • You cannot recover any deleted data
  • Your email address can be used to create a new account
  • Any active subscriptions will be cancelled
  • Outstanding invoices will be marked as void
